Who We Are

A Little About Us ...

Bethel Fellowship is a community of believers committed to following Jesus Christ and living out the teachings of the New Testament. Our faith is rooted in Scripture and shaped by a desire to grow in unity, love, and spiritual maturity as we walk together in obedience to Christ.
We identify with the Conservative Anabaptist tradition and share in the values expressed by the Anabaptist Disciples of Christ, a commitment to a Christ‑centered life, believer’s baptism, a disciplined and loving church community, and a desire to advance God’s Kingdom in every generation.
At Bethel, church life is something we do together. Our members, pastors, and deacons work as a united body, worshiping, teaching, serving, caring for each other, and supporting the needs of the church and community. We believe every believer has a place in the life and ministry of the church.
Above all, we aim to glorify God by faithfully following Jesus, loving one another, and sharing the good news with the world around us.

Sunday School

Our Sunday school time begins at 9:30 a.m. We sing a few songs as a congregation followed by a devotional from one of the laymen. We then divide into smaller groups for Sunday school classes for a time of Bible Study. The children find their classes by age. There is a youth class for young men and one for young ladies. The adults have eight classes; four for the men and four for the ladies.

Worship

Following Sunday school time we gather together in the sanctuary for worship. We will sing a number of songs before we have the sermon. You will find that we love singing old hymns, without musical accompaniment.

We believe that preaching is an important part of worship and that the exposition of God’s word feeds and empowers the believer. The service is closed with a prayer.

1 Co 1:21  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Attire

At Bethel we like to dress in a modest respectful manner, which may range from dressy casual to suits. However, we welcome you as you are, and we hope you will be comfortable to worship with us.
