Our Pastors

Judson & Amy Schrock

Judson was born on June 3, 1972, to Marvin and Irene (Yoder) Schrock. Raised near Charm, Ohio, he became a member of Messiah Church at the age of 17. Shortly before his 20th birthday, Judson relocated to Westminster, South Carolina, where he served as a chief for two years, followed by nine years as a supervisor at Fair Play Boys Camp. During his time as a supervisor, he married Amy Miller in 1997 while continuing his service at the camp. Judson and Amy have eight children, all born in South Carolina.

In 2005, Judson was ordained as a minister at Foothills Fellowship Church in Westminster. Shortly thereafter, he was appointed director of Fair Play Boys Camp, a position he held for nine years. In 2015, Judson, Amy, and their children moved to Rathgormack, Ireland, to assist with Comeragh Boys Camp. After serving as advisory director for two years, they returned to Berlin, Ohio, and began attending Bethel Church in 2017.

Having been ordained in South Carolina, Judson was invited to join the ministry team at Bethel Church in 2018, receiving full charge as a minister in 2019. In November 2021, Judson was called to serve as the lead pastor of Bethel Church. His responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight of the church, preaching God’s Word, discipling new believers, instructing those who request baptism, and supporting individuals wishing to become members.

Judson is deeply passionate about preaching the Gospel and mission work. He enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, as well as engaging in the lives of people within the church and community.

Mark & Betty Yoder

Mark was born on December 1, 1956, to Paul and Ella Yoder. Growing up on a family dairy farm, he spent most of his teenage years working for his father. In 1971, Mark became a Christian at a George Brunk revival meeting, was baptized the following year, and became a member of Bethel Fellowship.

In October 1979, Mark married Betty, daughter of Freeman and Ada Mullet. In March 1984, Mark was ordained as a pastor at Bethel Fellowship. Mark and Betty have five children and nineteen grandchildren.

As a bi-vocational pastor, Mark worked as a dairy farmer, was employed by Christian Aid Ministries, and also worked in sales. In 2010, the Yoders opened a deli and bulk food store in Dover, Ohio.

In 2007, Mark, Betty, and their five children moved to Southeast Asia, serving with Global Tribes Outreach. Mark has since retired as lead pastor and now assists with pastoral administrative meetings and preaches when needed. Betty is actively involved in one-on-one mentoring for women in the church and community.

Jared & Sara Beachy

Jared Matthew Beachy was born on August 6, 1984, to Paul and Erma Beachy. He grew up in Holmes County, Ohio, and on July 12, 2008, married his wife, Sara Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Daniel and Rita Miller. They became members at Bethel in 2010. They have five children: Daniel, Sophia, Noah, Ella, and Jude.

Jared has been involved in construction most of his life and started Walnut Creek Carpentry in the summer of 2022. He works in residential remodeling and new construction. He also enjoys farming beef cattle and crops on their farm.

Jared was ordained to the ministry on November 5, 2017. He and Sara began their ministry focused on youth and thoroughly enjoyed the relationships and memories they made. As of 2024, they have transitioned to focusing on small group and family ministry.

Whatever the focus, their goal is always to direct attention to following our Savior, Jesus Christ—encouraging others to live life with authenticity and passion. Jared enjoys studying and preaching the Word; though not always easy, it is always fulfilling.

Travis & Rhoda Yoder

Travis and Rhoda, along with their four children—Jonny, Josephine, Shiloh, and Isaiah—live on a small country property in Dundee, Ohio. Both grew up in the area. While Travis attended Bethel his whole life, Rhoda’s family began attending when she was 12 years old.

Travis and Rhoda share a passion for missions and have spent time serving abroad. Rhoda served as an “auntie” in Jamaica, while Travis spent time in Asia with the EDGE Program and also served with Choice Books. Both point to these experiences as deeply impactful and defining moments in their lives.

On February 12, 2023, Travis and Rhoda were called to the ministry at Bethel, focusing on youth—a calling they both enjoy tremendously. It is deeply rewarding for them to build relationships and witness God changing lives.

Travis and Rhoda love deep conversations and enjoy hearing people’s stories. Rhoda has a passion for outdoor projects and a good cup of coffee. Travis enjoys running, hiking, biking, and a good book. Together, they love spending summer evenings on the back porch, listening to the sounds of nature with their children.

Travis is a partner at D & J Plumbing, while Rhoda is a stay-at-home mom who also raises dogs, substitute teaches, practices massage therapy, and more.

Pray for them as they seek to spend time in the secret place of God’s presence.
